Grab The Mylanta®

November 17th, 2009

Because you’ll need it after reading this press release from Pepto-Bismol®.

This great photo – just in case my words aren’t enough to convey how I feel – is from ducamendes’ Flickrstream.

I understand the picture. Was this press release really necessary?

You lost me. How’s the press release bad — other than the “about” stuff at the bottom?

It’s poorly-written, the quote (which I highly doubt the athlete actually said, is fatuous, and it’s basically much ado about nothing. The boilerplate is about the only sensible part of the release. I get that companies feel they have to do this stuff – but something short and to the point would have been much preferable, and it probably could have done without a wire release.

This blog is where I sound off, mellow out and generally articulate thoughts I can no longer keep inside my head. It does not reflect the opinions of my clients, former employers, or anyone else. Well, perhaps sometimes those of my dog, Suzy Q... no, seriously, it's just me.

Oh, one other thing: my blog = my sandbox. To play here, please be nice. Polite argument and respectful agreements to disagree are fine. Abusiveness is not. And you take responsibility for your comments - just as this is my blog, those are your comments, not mine.

Phew. Glad that's over with. Let's play.
