It’s poorly-written, the quote (which I highly doubt the athlete actually said, is fatuous, and it’s basically much ado about nothing. The boilerplate is about the only sensible part of the release. I get that companies feel they have to do this stuff – but something short and to the point would have been much preferable, and it probably could have done without a wire release.
